Hi, and welcome! I’m Andrea Dwyer, a newborn, maternity, and family photographer based in Lithia, Florida, and I’m so excited to launch The Motherhood Blog–a space created especially for expecting moms, new mothers, and families with young children who are navigating the beautifully messy journey of parenthood.

Whether you’re counting down the weeks to your due date, trying to survive sleep deprivation with your newborn, or chasing toddlers through the Florida Sunshine, this blog is for you.

Why I Started This Blog

Over the years I’ve had the honor of photographing hundreds of growing families–from glowing maternity sessions to those tiny newborn fingers and toes, all the way to first birthday milestones and beyond. But photography is just one part of the story.

I wanted to create a place where moms could come for more than just photos. Here you’ll find:

• Local tips and resources for moms in Lithia, Fishhawk, Plant City, Brandon, and the greater Tampa Bay area
• Motherhood insights–from preparing for baby to finding balance in early parenthood
• Behind-the-scenes stories from real photo sessions
• Practical advice on how to prepare for your maternity, newborn, or family photography session
• And of course, plenty of inspiration for preserving your family’s most meaningful moments.

A Little More About Me

Beyond the camera, I’m also a mom of four–so I deeply understand the chaos, joy, and love that comes with raising little ones. My husband and I homeschool our children and live a simple life rooted in faith, family, and connection to nature. We’re also building a small homestead here in Lithia, which has become a beautiful extension of the values we hold dear: slowing down, being present, and cherishing the everyday.

Motherhood isn’t always picture-perfect, but it is profoundly meaningful–and that’s the heart behind everything I do, both in my photography and in this blog.
